The Deer River Fire Department is an organized team assembled to bring about the highest quality of emergency services possible for the Deer River community and surrounding areas. Your mission, should you decide to accept a fire service position, will be to continue this fine tradition.

The fire department encounters a variety of emergencies, not just fires. They respond to medical emergencies, motor vehicle crashes, aircraft crashes, building collapses, hazardous materials incidents, civil disturbances, technical rescues, explosions, tornadoes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks.
