City of Deer River Municipal Ordinances

PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES § 414.0325

WHEREAS, on ______________, 2015 a Notice of Intent to include property in an orderly annexation area was published pursuant to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes § 414.0325 Subd. 1b; and

WHEREAS, the City of Deer River and County of Itasca have deliberated and determined the following described areas are in present need of orderly annexation to the City of Deer River and jointly agree to designate and request the immediate annexation of the following described land located within unorganized township 56-27 to the City of Deer River, County of Itasca, Minnesota;

That part of Government Lot One (1), Section Twenty-one (21), Township Fifty-six (56), Range Twenty-seven (27) lying North of the railroad right of way. Approximately 16 acres. (part of Parcel No. 70-021-1200).
AND
The Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NE¼NE¼), Section Twenty-one (21), Township Fifty-six (56), Range Twenty-seven (27), Itasca County, State of Minnesota, LESS that part lying North of Trunk Highway No. 2 and LESS Highway No. 2 and the Great Northern Railway right-of-way, AND LESS that part described as follows:  Commencing at the northeast corner of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter;  thence South 88 degrees 28 minutes 15 seconds West, assumed bearing, along the north line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 721.19 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 2 and the point of beginning of the tract to be herein described;  thence South 22 degrees 20 minutes 37 seconds West 300.00 feet;  thence South 67 degrees 39 minutes 23 seconds East 200.00 feet;  thence North 22 degrees 20 minutes 37 seconds East 311.28 feet to said southerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 2;  thence North 70 degrees 53 minutes 04 seconds West 200.32 feet along said southerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 2 to the point of beginning.  Subject to existing easements and encumbrances of record. Approximately 35 acres. (Parcel No. 70-021-1101)

A tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section Twenty-two (22), Township Fifty-six (56), Range Twenty-seven (27) described as follows;  Commencing at the common corner of Section 15, 16, 21, and 22, Township 56, Range 27;  thence South, along the section line between Section 21 and 22, a distance of 347.8 feet, to the South boundary of U.S. Highway #2, which is the point of beginning.  Thence continuing South along said Section line, a distance of 902.2 feet;  thence East, at an angle of 90 degrees from South to East a distance of 1240.0 feet;  thence in a Northerly
