City of Deer River Municipal Ordinances
WHEREAS, the lands owned by the City of Deer River, United States of America, and Paul Bunyan Telephone Cooperative Association together are contiguous to the City of Deer River; and
WHEREAS, said lands are or shall become urban in nature and shall further enable the City of Deer River to provide city water and sewer thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED as follows: 1. The Town of Morse and the Town of Deer River and the City of Deer River, hereby confer jurisdiction on the Minnesota Municipal Board over the annexation of the above described lands pursuant to Minn. Stat. 414.0325, subd. 1, for purposes of an orderly annexation of said property to the City of Deer River.
WHEREAS, on March 6, 1998, the Minnesota Municipal Board has reviewed and accepted the resolution for orderly annexation;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the following described property is hereby annexed to the City of Deer River, Minnesota, the same as if it had originally been made a part thereof:
Government Lot 1, Section 26 AND GOVERNMENT Lot 8, Section 23, all in Township 145 North, Range 25 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian AND Government Lot 2, Section 26 AND Government Lot 7, Section 23, all in Township 145 North, Range 25 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian AND the South 661 feet of Government Lot 4, LESS the East 400 feet of the South 200 feet, all in Section 26, Township 145, Range 25 AND the North 661 feet of Government Lot 4, LESS the North 200 feet of the East 672 feet, AND LESS the East 700 feet of the South 461 feet of the North 661 feet, all in Section 26, Township 145, Range 25.
